Many Maserati owners will run into a problem at some point during their ownership where the seat will simply start to slow down and fail with use, over time.  Maserati typically only sells the Seat Motor along with the full Frame Assembly which is very expensive.  

Note : It's typically advised to replace the motor before it completely fails simply because if the seat stops over the bolts that you need to remove in order to release the seat, it can make the replacement much more difficult.
